2017 2 oz Silver Coin Biblical Series Jesus Calms the Sea

This coin is the fourth 2017 release, and 16th overall, in the Scottsdale Mint's Biblical Series featuring iconic biblical scenes. Each of these 2 oz Silver coins has a mintage of 1,499 pieces and features a high-relief, rimless design. Individually housed in a card with an assay certificate.

Each 2 oz coin in this Biblical series is packaged in a gift box reminiscent of the Bible. Included certificate of authenticity lists Matthew 8:18-27 (NLT) which states: When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he instructed the disciples to cross to the other side of the lake.

Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, Lord save us!

Reverse: Design inspired by Gustave Doré's illustration of Jesus Stills the Tempest. Edge: Laser-etched serial number, from 1 to 1499, which matches the serial number found on the included certificate of authenticity.
